Here at 3 Beers in 3 Days, while I don't explicitly endorse any breweries, restaurants, or other venues, I have no problem putting together a list of my favorites, many of which do a much better job of promoting themselves than I ever could.  Rather than go into detail about why I like what I do, I encourage you to read about them in my posts.  For simplicity's sake, here's a list for your consumption, all of which can be found in Chicago, IL, unless otherwise noted.
