I created 3 Beers in 3 Days as a way to share my experiences, expand my drinking horizons, and to hopefully encourage you to do the same. Each post is part review, part story, and part stream of consciousness, with a few pictures thrown in for good measure. If you're looking for some new beers to try, I'll help you find some good ones.
About This Blog
The premise behind this blog is simple: Each week I plan to profile 3 different beers on 3 consecutive days, one each on Friday-Sunday. Sometimes they'll be related to one another by style, brewery, country of origin, or some other more obscure thread, sometimes not.
Our Reviews
Beer reviews are the meat and potatoes of this blog. While almost every review will contain some narrative elements, I also strive to qualify and quantify my experiences to help you better understand why I felt the way I did about a particular beer and why I think you might or might not. Each review contains the following basic information.
- Beer: What I'm drinking.
- Brewery: Who produces it.
- Style: How is it categorized?
- ABV: How sorry you'll be in the morning.
- Similar To: What other beer(s) it resembles.
- First Impression: What do I see?
- Smell: It's not just for flowers anymore.
- Taste: The big ticket.
- On the Palate: Light and crisp to thick and rich. Fizzy or flat?
- Why You'll like It: Mmmmm...
- ...and why You won't: Hmmmm...
- In Closing...: Lasting impressions.
- Rating: How much I enjoyed it in Stars (out of 5).
